FSU students are speaking up about the disappearance of Ryan Urhe.
“He’s a great guy, I met him one time. He’s a Seminole so we all need to come together so hopefully we can find him,” said Tom Stallings.
Friday’s investigative search for Urhe included a k-9 team and a helicopter. The search started where he was last seen at Andrew’s Capital Grill and Bar in Tallahassee. Student’s say they are becoming more concerned.
“It’s making a big wave around campus I’d say. A lot of my friends kind of know who he is and I’ve seen it all around Facebook,” said Jimmy Noonan.
These students are saying their feelings on campus safety hasn’t changed since Uhre disappeared.
“I would say FSU is still a pretty safe place, I wouldn’t say that I’m worried when I leave now, I still think I’m safe,” said Joe Alexandrou.
“No, I don’t feel worried at all. I feel like FSU PD does a great job protecting us. I feel like he was at the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Stallings.
As the search for Urhe continues, family, friends and fellow students remain optimistic for his safe return.

Tallahassee FL-It has been twelve days since 23 year old FSU student Ryan Uhre went missing. Tallahassee Police Department re-visited the place where Urhe was last seen in hopes of finding something new.
With a specialized K-9 unit called “Scent Evidence”, The Tallahassee Police Department searched for evidence which may hint to missing twenty three year old Ryan Uhre’s where abouts.
As Tallahassee Police Department Spokesman David Northway explained, “He’s doing an article search. He’s checking the area to make sure that a cell phone wasn’t dropped or a cell phone isn’t somewhere– anything to hint as to where Mr. Uhre was last seen.”
The night of February second, Uhre was reportedly watching the super bowl with friends when he walked away and went missing.
Using Uhre’s scent the K-9 unit attempted to track down the twelve day old trail. While they were on the ground the Leon County Sheriff’s Office took to the sky– taking aerial shots of that area.
For now the search continues, “Anybody who comes forward whether you knew him or not. Whether you think you saw him– or you think you saw someone kind of like him. Anything you can find we would like you to please call us and let us know about that.”

Update: February 12, 2014
Tallahassee, Fla. — The Tallahassee Police Department is continuing to follow all leads in the case of missing person, Ryan Uhre. While TPD has not ruled out Mr. Uhre being in the South Florida area, our investigators have been able to determine the “tip” regarding the use of a cell phone in the Pompano Beach area is false. The tip was thoroughly vetted by TPD’s investigators, who worked closely with Verizon staff members and found the information to be an anomaly. TPD has also determined the “tip” regarding Mr. Uhre being seen in the South Florida bar “Rosie’s” was in fact another person.
TPD continues to search for Mr. Uhre, following up on all leads and interviewing anyone who may have had contact with him on the night he was last seen. At this time, there is no information to suggest foul play was involved in his case. TPD is working around the clock to reunite Mr. Uhre with his family members and will not stop until he has been found.
As updates are available, they will be posted at http://www.talgov.com.

Family and friends have since been spreading the word on social media and handing out flyers. “We got a response on the Facebook that someone had possibly seen him last evening at this particular bar,” said Uhre’s father.
Saturday afternoon police went to Rosie’s Bar and Grill in Wilton Manors to ask patrons and workers if they had seen Uhre. “It’s difficult, and his little brother… he doesn’t know what to do,” said Uhre’s father. “We are going to continue looking.”
